CFDA Fashion Awards 2011

The Council of Fashion Designers of America awards took place in New York earlier this week and the famous guests attended in fighting fashion force.

Fl@unt takes a look...

COLOUR BLOCK - Alessandra Ambrosio in Prabal Gurung, Chanel Iman in Max Azria

Alessandra looks absolutely stunning in this unfussy gown absorbed in sultry red complimented with a thick silver neck cuff - strange accessory but it works!
Chanel lets her hair hang loose and keeps her make up in natural tones allowing the colour of her dress to do the talking.

DARK AND DRAMATIC - Lucy Liu in Monique Lhuillier

Lucy Liu showcases another beautiful black feathered creation and although the dress is in such a dark colour, this outfit certainly gives off a fairytale feeling.

LIGHT AND FEMININE - Kerry Washington in Calvin Klein, Sessilee Lopez in Zac Posen

Kerry's beauty appears so fresh here, looking pure and untouched in this heavenly white sheath dress, while Sessilee looks a vision in her glamorous hair and make-up alone. She is a model queen in this sleeved gown.

SUITED AND BOOTED - Leelee Sobieski in Adam Kimmel, Kirsten Dunst in Patrick Ervell

Wearing her menswear designer husband's suit creation Leelee changes up the fashion trend of dresses on the carpet, which Fl@unt is grateful for. Her slight, less feminine features means she can pull of the suited look.
This maybe Fl@unt's favourite look of the night. Kirsten looks so different from what we're used to seeing of her! And that's why we love it. This tuxedo is sharp yet strongly feminine, great look.

HAIR AND MAKE-UP: VIBRANT COLOUR MASKING - Alessandra Ambrosio and Lady Gaga

Two completely different looks on the carpet, however both women trend a strong red lip, naked eyes and well defined eyebrows - Alessandra goes for the vixen stare while Lady Gaga strikes an ice queen pose.

SPECIAL MALE MENTION...Gerard Butler

It appears the '300' star has cleaned himself up looking trim and rather dapper as he attended the awards with  a grown out 'do. A good look.
